Merging the concepts of situated teaching, Bloom's Taxonomy in the cognitive domain and process writing, this paper proposed a new teaching model of "Promoting Writing via Reading". According to a experiment done by our research team in two Singapore secondary schools, we tested the significance of the experimental results by applying quantitative analysis method, compared the differences of the experimental results in 3 classes of 2 secondary schools, analyzed the patterns and reasons which caused these differences, therefore, provided some experiences and suggestions for teachers who want to apply this teaching model in classes with different Chinese language abilities.
