Abstract
In order to raise our students' higher order of thinking, a trait that is in line with the 21st Century skills, we feel that proper classroom questioning techniques during the reading of Chinese texts is vital. Our research is based on the Singapore's Chinese language curriculum for Express stream, and our research targets are students from the Secondary One level. Our research model is based on D.R. Krathwohl and L. Anderson's questioning technique, and how it may be incorporated in class to raise our students' level of comprehension.
