Abstract
Limited by thinking habits and language skills, Singapore CL2 students usually do not have enough content to write, and have problems in structuring a composition. Invited by a local Secondary school, we have cooperated with this school and completed an empirical study in exploring effective strategies of thinking training for teaching of writing. This paper systematically interprets the potential requirements and corresponding strategies of thinking training in teaching of writing in the aspects of content, structure and expression. We also provide teaching courseware and activity-papers to demonstrate the ways and steps of teaching practice.
