SCCL Staff Invited as Speaker

         On 17 January 2024, Master Teacher Ho Kar Hui from the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) was invited to be the keynote speaker for the "H1 Chinese Language National Symposium". The national sharing session was organised by the Mother Tongue Languages Branch, Curriculum Planning and Development Division, Ministry of Education. It aims to promote professional conversation and learning among pre-university Chinese language teachers.

        Mdm Ho's sharing topic was "The New Era of AI - The Integration of Technology with H1 Chinese Language Teaching". She pointed out that artificial intelligence (AI) has great potential and benefits, and provides multiple possibilities for teaching and learning. She shared how generative AI can optimise teaching resources and enrich learning experiences. During the interaction segment, the participants also shared their experiences in using generative AI for teaching and learning. Mdm Ho concluded that AI has brought new opportunities and challenges to Chinese language teaching. Teachers need to continuously learn and further explore its uses to effectively utilise AI to improve teaching quality.
