        Master Teacher Ms Li Dongmei graduated from the Northeast Normal University, China. She is now pursuing a Doctor of Education in Research in Chinese Language Education (RCLE), a programme jointly conducted by the University of Hong Kong and SCCL. Ms Li has experience as a Chinese language teacher in China and Singapore for many years. Prior to joining SCCL, she was involved in the national curriculum development and implementation at the Curriculum Planning and Development Division, Ministry of Education for 5 years.

        Mr Chen Jing-Tang graduated from National Dong Hwa University and Chung-Hwa University of Medical Technology, Taiwan. He has extensive experience in the field of pre-school teacher training, parent-children interactive activities and early childhood education. His research interests are early childhood care and education, gender and culture in early childhood education and multicultural education. He is currently a teaching fellow at the Early Childhood Care and Education Department in SCCL.

        SCCL welcomes a new batch of interns in February this year. 

        Jiang Shan, Li Nian and Fei Liying come from East China Normal University. Jiang Shan participates in the study "A Socio-educational Perspective on Young Pre-adolescents' Motivation to Learn Chinese as a Second Language in Singapore". Li Nian is involved in the studies "Development of a Primary CL Teachers' Language Assessment Literacy Training System: Reading Comprehension Item Setting and Analysis" and "A Study on the Teaching and Learning of Oracy Skills through the Use of Big Books in the 2015 Lower Primary Instructional Materials". Fei Liying takes part in the projects "Developing an Automated Chinese Essay Guiding System for Singapore Lower Secondary Students" and "A Study on the Teaching and Learning of Oracy Skills through the Use of Animation and Video Resources in the 2015 Lower Primary Instructional Materials".

      Liu Meng and Liu Yan come from Jinan University. Liu Meng participates in the studies "A Study of AEE Promotion and Optimization" and "Enhancing Text Grading and Graded Text Editing with Ontological-based Semantic Features" while Liu Yan takes part in the two projects "Curriculum and Assessment Alignment Research: Chinese Language Teachers' Assessment Methods in Reading Comprehension for Secondary Two Express" and "Augmented Reality Based Character Composition Game for Improving Chinese Character Recognition".
