1. Staff

Ms Loi Chew Ming graduated from Nanyang Technological University, with a Master of Arts in Chinese Studies. She is now a Resource Development Specialist, Editor cum Research Assistant of SCCL.
2. Interns
A new batch of students joined SCCL as interns in February. They are Zhang Hui and Huang Qimin from East China Normal University, as well as Hou Shuhui and Wang Xiaoze from Jinan University.
Zhang Hui takes part in the projects "Corpus-based Chinese Word Learning Mobile App for Young Learners" and "Translation of 'first provide an 'Example', then an 'Explanation', and finally 'Practice'' from instructional design to classroom practice". Huang Qimin engages in three studies, including "Enhancing Text Grading and Graded Text Editing with Ontological-based Semantic Features", "Context-Character form-Context: Augmented reality based character composition game for improving Chinese character recognition" and "The Development of a Screening Test of Chinese Reading Difficulty for Primary 3 Students in Singapore".
Both Hou Shuhui and Wang Xiaoze participate in two projects. Shuhui involves in "Developing an Automated Chinese Essay Guiding System for Singapore Lower Secondary Students" and "Chinese Sentence Writing Strategies for Singaporean P2 Students". Xiaoze takes part in "A Multiple Case Study on Setting and Marking Open-ended Reading Comprehension Questions among Primary Five Chinese Teachers" and "A Teaching Toolkit for Improving Secondary One Students' Writing Ability through Activation of Their Prior Knowledge in Picture Writing".
