1. 2018 Singapore National Day Celebration and Learning Journey
A simple yet formal celebration was held on 7 Aug to celebrate Singapore's 53rd birthday. SCCL staffs gathered at its multipurpose hall, sang the national anthem and recited the pledge.

The SCCL SWC had also arranged a half-day learning journey for staff to visit Times Printers in the afternoon. Times Printers is one of the largest printing companies in Singapore. Through this learning journey, we learned about the printing company's operations from typesetting to printing. We also visited its printing facilities, during which the host explained to us some details concerning the printing procedures, such as the importance of paper and color.

2. 2018 Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration
On 20 September, SCCL staff gathered at Bamboo Villa to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. The SWC prepared a variety of mooncakes to tempt colleagues' taste buds. Game sessions were also designed to promote team building. The game sessions began with a quick-answer game following a showing of video clips about the Festival. Adding to the fun were the ensuing story-relaying game and creative lantern making competition. SCCL staff demonstrated team spirit when making creative stories and lanterns. With joy, members of the groups took photos with their DIY lanterns at the end of the session. This marked the end of 2018 Mid-Autumn Festival celebration.

3. Visited to Lee Ah Mooi Old Aged Home
SCCL staff visited Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home (Silat) on 22 November 2018. Preparation work began one month before the actual day. During the month, SCCL SWC members had been busy stuffing donation boxes with items such as adult milk powder, coffee powder, cereals and chicken essence donated generously by colleagues while members of the Chinese orchestra interest group rehearsed on their harmonica, flute and singing.
On the actual day, the activity hall was full of laughter and applause. The performance by the interest group was much-admired. We also had fun together playing "Music Chair", "Guess That Song" and "Bingo" with the elderly.
SCCL would like to thank the staff and nurses of Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home for their help which made this trip possible. We had a different but meaningful afternoon. We hope that our short visit has brought warmth and happy memories for the elderly.
