New Staff
1. Mdm Wang Juan

Mdm Wang Juan was appointed as a Master Teacher for Chinese language on 1 Jan 2019 and has since joined Singapore Centre for Chinese Language. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Chinese Studies from Central China Normal University and obtained a master's degree in Chinese Studies from National University of Singapore. Mdm Wang has been a Chinese language teacher, senior teacher and lead teacher at South View Primary School and has rich experience in Chinese Language education. She is dedicated to working with her colleagues to promote Chinese language teachers' professional development, so as to help students learn Chinese language happily.
2. Huang Wanyu

Huang Wanyu obtained a Master of Arts in Teaching Chinese as an International Language from National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University. She is now a Research Associate at SCCL.
New Interns
A new batch of students joined SCCL as interns in February.
Hao Meiling and Chen Jiahui come from East China Normal University. Meili and Jiahui take part in the projects "Corpus-based Chinese Word Learning Mobile App for Young Learners" and "Enhancing Text Grading and Graded Text Editing with Ontological-based Semantic Features" respectively.
Zhou Qingyu and Hu Lingyan come from Jinan University. Qingyu participates in "Developing an Automated Chinese Essay Guiding System for Singapore Lower Secondary Students". While Lingyan is engaged in the "Teaching Toolkit for 'New Stars Island' Graded Picture Book Series".
