The Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) was awarded the Partner of Labour Movement at the NTUC May Day Awards 2024 on 10 May 2024. This award recognises the significant contributions of associations and partners through collaborations, projects, or initiatives of national impact, as well as their promotion and support of the Labour Movement and its initiatives. SCCL was nominated for this award by the Singapore Chinese Teachers' Union (SCTU). 

        Over the years, SCCL has placed great emphasis on the importance of work-life balance and has provided opportunities for flexible working arrangements. Additionally, SCCL has closely collaborated with SCTU, leveraging its resources and extensive network built over the years, to assist SCTU in organising various activities. These activities have not only broadened the professional horizons of local Chinese language teachers but also promoted their professional development.
