Mdm Lim Chun Ling and Ms Soh Khai Hoon were appointed as a Master Teacher for Chinese Language in January 2025 and has since joined the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL). Ms Xu Ming and Ms Li Jing hold Master's degrees of Arts in Teaching Chinese as an International Language from National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, and are currently serve as Research Associates at SCCL.

1. Mdm Lim Chun Ling

       Mdm Lim Chun Ling was appointed as a Master Teacher for Chinese Language in January 2025 and has since joined the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Chinese Language and Chinese Literature, as well as a Master's degree in Education from the National Institute of Education, National Technological University.

       With over 20 years of teaching experience, Mdm Lim had taught English, Mathematics and Science at Poi Ching School before transitioning to teaching Chinese Language at Poi Ching School, MacPherson Primary School and Cedar Primary School. During this time, she held various leadership positions, including Subject Head of ICT, Head of Department for Mother Tongue Languages and Lead Teacher for Chinese. In 2023, she was awarded the National Day Commendation Medal.

       As a teacher leader, Mdm Lim looks forward to collaborating with Chinese language teachers to explore teaching and learning Chinese in primary school and to promote the development of students' metacognitive abilities.

2. Ms Soh Khai Hoon

       Ms Soh Khai Hoon was appointed as Master Teacher for Chinese Language in January 2025 and joined the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language in the same year. She holds a Second Class Honours degree in Chinese Language and Literature from the National University of Singapore, a Master's degree in Education (Curriculum and Teaching) from the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, and was awarded the Ministry of Education Postgraduate Scholarship.

       She began her career as a teacher at Singapore Chinese Girls' School and was appointed as Head of Department, Mother Tongue Languages at Yishun Town Secondary School. Subsequently, she served as an Assistant Director in Mother Tongue Languages Branch, Curriculum Planning and Development Division, concurrently holding the position of Curriculum Team Lead responsible for driving the planning, development and implementation of the 2021 Chinese Language curriculum. Ms Soh won the Distinguished Chinese Language Teachers Award in 2011 and was awarded MOE Service Excellence Award (Platinum) and National Day Commendation Medal in 2023.

       Driven by a passion to enhance Chinese language teaching and learning, Ms Soh aspires to collaborate with fellow teachers in her new role to develop effective teaching methods and create quality learning experiences, so as to enhance students' proficiency and cultivate in them a deeper appreciation for Chinese language and culture.

3. Ms Xu Ming

        Ms Xu Ming holds a Master's degree from Master of Arts in Teaching Chinese as an International Language, National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She currently serves as a Research Associate at the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language.

4. Ms Li Jing

        Ms Li Jing graduated from National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University with a Master of Arts in Teaching Chinese as an International Language. She is now a Research Associate at Singapore Centre for Chinese Language.
