Two new staff have joined the SCCL. They are Dr. Li Li and Mr. Au Siu Lun.
 
Dr. Li graduated from Communication University of China, specialising in second language acquisition, language education and computational linguistics. She is a Research Associate of our research team.
Mr. Au is a Nanyang Technological University graduate, majoring in Chinese with specialisation in linguistics. He has joined the SCCL publication team as an editor and research assistant.

 

2. Interns

Interns from Ngee Ann Polytechnics

Since the beginning of the year 2013, several batches of interns from local and overseas institutions have joined the Singapore Centre of Chinese Language at various times of the year under the overseas and local internship programme. Interns joining SCCL from overseas institutions are Ms. Ren JingYuan and Ms. Li Weidong from Jin Nan University, Ms. Chang Wan-Ting, Ms. Lee Sun Qi, Ms. Ke Chueh-Ju and Ms. Chang Yu-Chen from National Taiwan Normal University, Ms. Chen Wen Sze, Ms. Ng Mei Gee and Ms. Chang Wen-Chuan from Chung Yuan Christian University. Interns from local institutions are Ms. Mindi Yip, Ms. Tan Li Yi, Ms. Wong Yoke Kuan and Ms. Yong Chin Yee from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. The interns are attached to different departments where they take part in research data analysis and archiving of research notes. They also participate in research projects and class observations in schools. In addition, they have had the chance to attend SCCL internal training courses and join various fun activities (e.g. National Day, Sports Day). It is the intention of the SCCL to provide the interns a fruitful and meaningful experience.
