This year May, two new staff has joined the Centre. They are Ms. Chen Sihui and Ms. Yao Xiao.

Ms. Chen Sihui holds a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education from University of South Australia and a Diploma from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. She was the Principal of a child care center and has over seven years of working experiences in the early childhood industry. Miss Chen has joined the SCCL as a Project Officer (Preschool).

Ms. Yao Xiao joined SCCL in late May as an editor cum research assistant in NTU-SCCL Press. She graduated from the Department of Chinese, Translation and Linguistics of City University of Hong Kong, and now is pursuing her Master of English Literature in National University of Singapore.

At the same time, two intern students from the Chinese University of Hong Kong joined the SCCL in our research projects for the first time.

Ms. Wang Yuting is currently pursuing her master's degree at the Department of Linguistics and Modern Languages. She was an intern Chinese teacher at the Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, and now helps in a research on the teaching of Chinese in Singapore at SCCL.

Mr. Jin Jiaxin is also a master student from the Department of Linguistics and Modern Languages. His research interests include the Chinese syntax and semantics from the perspective of generative grammar.
