2015 MTL Symposium

The 4th Mother Tongue Languages (MTL) Symposium was successfully held on 29th August 2015 at Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Themed "Our Mother Tongues as Living Languages", the Symposium emphasized on the importance of early exposure to MTLs in young children and the influence of family environment on their language learning.

At the symposium, Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) displayed and introduced its research initiatives, toolkits as well as reading materials designed to support the teaching and learning of Chinese language. To encourage children to learn Chinese, a variety of fascinating games were showcased at SCCL's booth.

The booth attracted numerous visitors. Children participated in various activities such as playing interactive computer games, reading pop-up picture book sand learning common conversational phrases. It was an enjoyable learning experience for both children and parents!
