Dr Chin Chee Kuen (SCCL Founding Director, currently serving as SCCL Academic Consultant) was invited by the College of Education at Zhejiang University to deliver a keynote speech at their PhDs' Salon on 16 December 2016. The speech title was "Authentic learning in Singapore's Chinese language teaching: Theory and Practice".

        On 18 February 2017, Dr Chin Chee Kuen was invited by the Chinese Language Center of National Tsing Hua University to give a keynote speech at "The 2nd Symposium on Chinese Language Teaching in the Sphere of Chinese Language Influence". He shared with participants on the subject of "Approaches Adopted to Strengthen the Chinese Language Teaching in Singapore".
