Enrichment Trip to Sheng Siong Group Ltd
The staff of Singapore Centre for Chinese Language visited the corporate headquarters of Sheng Siong Group Ltd on 19th April 2017. The Sheng Siong learning journey proved to be both engaging and insightful. Highlights of the event included a comprehensive overview of Sheng Siong's corporate objectives, a trip around the Sheng Siong warehouse and a sharing session with Mr Lim Hock Chee, CEO of Sheng Siong group.
This learning journey certainly uplifted spirits and inspired us to work even harder. We would like to thank Sheng Siong Group for their generous hospitality.

Keep Clean, Singapore!
SCCL participated in the "Keep Clean, Singapore!" movement on 5th May 2017. Litter-picking activity is one of the initiatives by the Public Hygiene Council to promote public ownership in maintaining a litter-free environment in Singapore. Led by Executive Director Dr Foo Suan Fong, SCCL staff conducted a 2 hour cleaning around Ghim Moh estate.
The litter-picking activity resulted in the collection of 76.5kg of rubbish, 24.62kg of which was recyclable. Through this event, we hoped to create awareness in the community that it is everyone's duty to keep Singapore clean, and underscore the importance of disposing our waste responsibly.
