From January 10 to 13, 2023, a delegation of Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) visited four schools in Brunei. The four schools were, namely, Chung Hwa Middle School, Chung Ching Middle School, Tutong Chung Hwa School and Universiti Brunei Darussalam.

           During the visit, the management team of the four schools shared with the SCCL delegates information on the development of Chinese language education in Brunei, professional training for Chinese language teachers, the arrangement of Chinese language courses in schools for students, current issues and challenges they are facing in Chinese language education, as well as various training and cultural exchange activities. The SCCL delegates introduced to the four schools SCCL teacher training courses and publications.

          Both the SCCL and the schools hope to further strengthen future communication and cooperation and work together to promote Chinese language education.
