The "2023 National Vlog Competition for Singapore Primary School Students", co-organised by Singapore Centre for Chinese Language and Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning and supported by Ngee Ann Polytechnic School of Humanities and Social Sciences, 8world News and Wan Qing Yuan - Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall, was open for registration on 20 February 2023. The objective of the competition is to improve the oral expression ability of primary school students and encourage students to develop a spirit of collaboration and a love for Chinese. On 23 March 2023, Mr Cheng Chuen Sim Patrick and Ms Tiong Shiuan Shiuan, lecturers from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, conducted an online workshop and briefing session introducing the techniques for short film framing, recording, and body language.

          The theme of the competition is "Singapore Chinese Culture". Primary 1 to 6 students are welcome to form teams of 2 to 5 to participate. Interested students can register through their school teachers. The deadline for submitting entries is set on Wednesday, 28 June 2023.
