Singapore Centre for Chinese Language Signs Two Agreements with Lu Feng Technology Inc. (Taiwan)

Following the launch of its primary school graded readers last year, the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language, in a continued effort to promote the reading of Chinese books among young children, signed two publishing agreements with the Lu Feng Technology Inc from Taiwan on May 29 2013. Under the agreements,
1. Lu Feng Technology Inc. authorizes the NTU- Singapore Centre for Chinese Language Press (NTU-SCCL Press) to edit and publish its education book, "Learning Chinese Idioms Through Manga" (看动漫学成语). The revised publication, for Singapore and overseas markets, will come with a multimedia CD.
2. Lu Feng Technology Inc. authorizes NTU-SCCL Press to use the resources from its "5QChannel" website (五子登科动漫阅读网) for the production of graded readers for preschool children and primary school students.
The first four titles in the NTU-SCCL Press Graded Readers Series, targeting readers from three to seven years old, will be out by the end of the year. The stories of the four books are adopted from Lu Feng Technology's products, namely, The Timid Hare, Three-wheeled Cart, The Snake Deity, The Orangutan Loves to Drink. Each book comes with a multimedia CD containing animations and interactive exercises that helps users to learn Chinese language.
