The 7th Teachers' Conference was held at Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre on 3 & 4 June 2014. The event was organised by Ministry of Education and Academy of Singapore Teachers; supported by Academy of Principals and Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (Singapore).

The theme of the conference was "Values across the Curriculum – Inspiring Learning, Shaping Lives" and the event attracted over 2,400 teachers and guests.

As an in-service training and research centre for CL teachers, SCCL aspires to enhance the effectiveness of teaching Chinese as a second language in the bilingual environment of Singapore, using the maxim of xian yan, hou zheng, zai jiao (先研、后证、再教, Teaching informed by research and guided by classroom validated practices). It is a mission of SCCL to provide guidance and support to CL teachers in Singapore. We also extend our support to CL teachers in the region.

At the event, we showcased what SCCL has done over the last 5 years. The SCCL learning booth was well received by teacher participants, who expressed great interest in our publications, courses and researches.
