1. New Staff
Mdm Min Yu has been appointed as Master Teacher in January 2015 and has since joined Singapore Centre for Chinese Language. Mdm Min graduated from Tianjin Normal University and had been a Chinese teacher (CL) and senior Teacher for decades, which brings her rich experience in Chinese language education. She is dedicated to working with SCCL for the enhancement of Singapore CL teachers' professional skills and teaching literacy.

Mdm Min Yu
Ms Sim Lucy has been appointed as Master Teacher for Chinese language with effect from 1 Jan 2015. She held the position of Lead Teacher in Guangyang Primary School from 2012 to 2014. Since her joining SCCL, she has been conducting workshops for teachers and is working closely with them in exploring innovative pedagogical methods to promote students' interest in learning Chinese.

Ms Sim Lucy
Ms Stella Wong is currently a Project Officer for Corporate Development Committee at SCCL. Before joining the centre, she was a Head of Department (Mother Tongue Languages) at Evergreen Primary School. She had been a Curriculum Planning Officer at the Curriculum Planning and Development Division, Ministry of Education, Level Head (Pupil Development) and Chinese teacher.

2. Interns
The beginning year 2015 sees the welcoming of 7 overseas interns in Singapore Centre for Chinese Language. They are currently participating in various research programmes in the centre as part of their half-year internship.
Ms Jyi For-Tsi is a teacher at the Affiliated Senior High School of National Taiwan Normal University and Ph. D candidate at Graduate Institute of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, National Taiwan Normal University. She began her 6-month internship since January and is currently working on the centre's project "an Investigation of Chinese Composition Writing Processes and Difficulties among Lower Secondary Students in Singapore". Her Ph. D research involves Chinese teachers' language analysis, corpus linguistics, and the integration of Adobe Connect web conference software in a blended-learning curriculum.

Ms Jyi For-Tsi
Ms Xu Qing, Ms Luo Yun and Ms Sun Lijie come from Jinan University. Ms Xu Qing is working on the research project "Enhancing Singaporean Children's Chinese Oral Language Competence: the Effect of Teaching Oral Narrative Skills". Ms Luo Yun takes up 2 research projects concurrently, namely, "Empirical Research of Automated Essay Evaluation" and "an Investigation of Chinese Composition Writing Processes and Difficulties among Lower Secondary Students in Singapore". Ms Sun Lijie is an intern at the centre's publication department, working on the editing and proofreading of Journal of Chinese Language Education, picture books and conference proceedings.
Ms Li Yating, Ms Yan Jiayu and Ms Wu Shuang are from East China Normal University. Ms Li Yating and Ms Yan Jiayu participate in 3 research projects together, namely, "a Preliminary Evaluative Study on the Implementation of the New H2 Chinese Language and Literature Syllabus for Pre-University Students in Singapore", "Building a Corpora-Based Chinese Language Teaching Resources Platform for Singapore CL Teachers" and "a Qualitative Study on Singapore Chinese Language Teacher's Professional Proficiency and Their Training Needs". Ms Wu Shuang participates in the research project "the Pilot Study of Using Interactive e-Dictionary in Leaning Chinese at Secondary School and Primary School" and "iMTL Express Curriculum-Interactive Strategies".
