The first "National Preschool Teaching Aids Competition - Things in Everyday Life" , held by Singapore Centre for Chinese Language, has received overwhelming responses. More than 200 entries were submitted, and over 100 teachers, parents, and students took part in the competition.

     This competition aims to encourage early childhood educators, students, parents and members of the public in Singapore to make use of the items and materials that are readily available in daily life to design localized teaching aids for the teaching and learning of Chinese Language. The competition seeks to create a platform to motivate and promote children's love for learning Chinese Language.
