Upcoming Event: The 6th International Conference on Teaching and Learning of Chinese as a Second Language
The theme of The 6th International Conference on Teaching and Learning of Chinese as a Second Language is "Inheriting the past, leading the future: The trends and prospective developments of teaching and learning of Chinese as a second language". Renowned scholars from Singapore and overseas will be invited to share their invaluable research findings on Chinese language and education. Frontline educators will also be invited to share their teaching experience.

Event In Spotlight: 2020 National Preschool Teaching Aid Competition – Creative Tabletop Activity
2020 National Preschool Teaching Aid Competition – Creative Tabletop Activity aims to encourage early childhood educators, students, parents and members of the public in Singapore to design creative tabletop activity as teaching aids for teaching and learning the Chinese language. We hope that participants can create and make good use of table activities to motivate and promote children's love in learning Chinese.

SCCL Staff Invited as Speaker
SCCL Executive Director Dr Foo Suan Fong and SCCL Lecturer Dr Wu Yung-Sen were invited to attend China-Singapore Preschool Education Seminar organised by The China Soong Ching Ling Science and Culture Centre for Young People and Singapore Huaxia Culture Hub to deliver a speech on 5-6 December 2019. On 16-18 December 2019, SCCL Lecturer Dr Liu May was invited as a guest speaker for the "The 7th International School Chinese Language Education Conference and Workshop" organised by the Chinese Language Teachers' Association of Victoria and Wesley College, Melbourne.

Activity in SCCL
On 16 January 2020, Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) organised a Chinese New Year Celebration at Three Degree Café, NTU Alumni Club. We congratulate the winners and wish everyone a smooth sailing year ahead.
