One of the missions of Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) is to become a learning hub in Chinese as a second language in South East Asia. Thus, to broaden our training impact in this region is becoming more pivotal.

          As we strive to explore innovative ideas to further enhance the quality of our training for adult learners, a group of seven staff, led by SCCL Executive Director Dr Foo Suan Fong, initiated a learning trip to the Institute for Adult Learning (IAL) on 15 August 2022. The two parties exchanged ideas and experiences in adult training.

          IAL generously imparted some pertinent ideas which served as useful takeaway for SCCL's courses development for adult learners. The exchange session was fruitful, and both parties endeavored to engage in more future collaborations. As a kick-start, IAL customised a virtual workshop on "A Highly Engaging Online Learning Experience" for our lecturers and master teachers on 27 & 30 September 2022, offering many practical and useful e-teaching approaches.
