Miss Tan Yu

Miss Tan Yu graduated from Department of Chinese Studies, National University of Singapore and joined SCCL as a research assistant. She is now working on two projects "Curriculum and Assessment Alignment Research: Chinese Language Teachers' Assessment Methods in Reading Comprehension for Secondary Two Express" and "A Socio-educational Perspective on Young Pre-adolescents' Motivation to Learn Chinese as a Second Language in Singapore".

        SCCL welcomes a new batch of interns from Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

        Wang Zhaolin is an undergraduate at National University of Singapore and is working on the research project "Evaluation on the iMTL portal". Grace Lee Ting and Lin Weihong come from Nanyang Technological University. Grace takes part in the project "A Socio-educational Perspective on Young Pre-adolescents' Motivation to Learn Chinese as a Second Language in Singapore". Lin Weihong participants in the project "Targeted Teaching Toolkit for Primary 1 Oral Chinese". Yang Jing and Liu Yujing come from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Yang Jing participants in the project "A Socio-educational Perspective on Young Pre-adolescents' Motivation to Learn Chinese as a Second Language in Singapore" and Liu Yujing takes part in the project "AEE-Assisted Composition Writing and Teaching".

        There are 8 interns from Taiwan. Yang Ting-Ting and Yang Ya-Chen come from Feng Chia University. Yang Ting-Ting is working on the project "AEE-Assisted Composition Writing and Teaching" and Yang Ya-Chen participants in the project "Evaluation on the iMTL portal".

        Ong Mei Tyng, Yeh Yu-Hsuan and Liu Fa-Jou come from National Taiwan Normal University. Ong Mei Tyng takes part in the project "Updated Enhanced Elementary Writing". Yeh Yu-Hsuan is working on the project "Drama as an Igniter in Primary and Secondary Students' Oracy and Writing". Liu Fa-Jou participants in two research projects, namely "Improving Singaporean Primary School Children's Chinese Writing Ability through Scaffolding" and "Implementation and Effectiveness of the Chinese Language Bridging Course for Secondary One Chinese Normal Academic (NA) Students".

        Tang Chieh-En, Jhan Ya-Fei and Wang Hui-Xuan come from National Hsinchu University of Education. Tang Chieh-En participates in two research projects: "A Socio-educational Perspective on Young Pre-adolescents' Motivation to Learn Chinese as a Second Language in Singapore" and "A Preliminary Evaluative Study on the Implementation of the New H2 Chinese Language Syllabus for Pre-University Students in Singapore". Jhan Ya-Fei takes part in the project "Curriculum and Assessment Alignment Research: Chinese Language Teachers' Assessment Methods in Reading Comprehension for Secondary Two Express". Wang Hui-Xuan is working on the project "An Investigation of Chinese Composition Writing Processes and Difficulties among Lower Secondary Students in Singapore".
