On 12 August 2016, SCCL Executive Director Dr Chin Chee Kuen was invited to deliver a keynote speech on the subject of "The Developmental Track of Singapore's Chinese Language Curriculum" at the "Inheritance and Innovation: The International Conference on Chinese Education Reform" held in Beijing. The Conference was co-organised by Beijing Normal University, The Education University of Hong Kong and China Association of Higher Education.

        On 7 October 2016, Principal Master Teacher Mdm Lim Kwee Hua was invited to be a keynote speaker at the 1st Symposium on Sinology in Thailand. She made a speech on the subject of "Teaching of Chinese Language in Singapore and its Challenges". The conference was jointly hosted by the Confucius Institute at Burapha University, Ramkhamhaeng University, Huachiew Chalermprakiet University and Rangsit University.
