1. Speak Mandarin Campaign       

     SCCL was invited to display and sell books at the Speak Mandarin Campaign public talk entitled "Mandarin and Chinese Culture: The Joys of Learning." Organized by the Promote Mandarin Council, the event was held on 19 May 2018. The keynote speaker was Mr. Man Shu Sum (the Associate Director for Academy of Film, Hong Kong Baptist University). The Panelists were Ms. Diana Ser (veteran presenter and broadcast journalist) and Ms. Xiaohan (author and lyricist). Ms. Tan Leng Tuan (Editor of SPH Chinese Media Group's Student Publications) was the moderator.

2. 2018 Singapore Book Fair    

     From 25-31 May, SCCL also participated in the 2018 Singapore Book Fair held at Capitol Singapore. Mr. Heng Swee Keat, Minister for Finance, visited our booth at the book fair after the opening ceremony and asked about SCCL's publications. Dr. Jocelyn Lim Bee Kim (Deputy Director and Senior Specialist, Mother Tongue Languages Branch, Curriculum Planning and Development Division, MOE) also made a visit.

       At the exhibitions, we displayed and sold our best-selling children's readers, including "New Stars Island" Graded Picture Book Series and "Rainbow Bridge", Interactive Graded Picture Book Series, and other books popular with the public, such as "A Handbook of Basic Writing Skills: With Examples from Singapore Chinese Textbooks" and "Help Your Child Learn Chinese Language Efficiently and Happily" (Chinese and English Version).
