Singapore Centre for Chinese Language launched a new book entitled "Singapore Preschool Chinese Teaching Materials in Daily Life" on 1st June 2019. This book is a compilation of the winning entries from the first "National Preschool Teaching Aid Competition - Things in Everyday Life". Creatively designed by local teachers, these works are inspiring examples of how to think out of box and utilize common materials to create interesting teaching aids for teaching and learning Chinese language.

      SCCL also announced the details of "2020 National Preschool Teaching Aid Competition – Creative Tabletop Activity" at the event. This competition encourages preschool teachers, parents and the public to create tabletop activities to train children's logical thinking as well as understanding of rules and develop team cooperation. It is also hoped that during the process of playing, children can not only practice Chinese language but also experience Singapore's local culture.
