Upcoming Event: 3rd International Conference on Teaching and Learning of Chinese as a Second Language: "The Teaching of Chinese Language in a Multilingual Environment -- Innovative Practice, Transformative Learning"To further promote researches in CSL and build a platform for scholars and practitioners of Chinese language teaching to communicate ideas and share experiences, the SCCL will continue to host the third international conference this year.

Conference on "Enhancing the Teaching and Learning of Chinese for Non-Chinese Speaking Students: Challenge and Breakthrough" co-organized by CACLER, the Faculty of Education, University of Hong Kong (HKU) and Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL)Co-hosted by the Centre for Advancement of Chinese Language Education and Research (CACLER), Faculty of Education, University of Hong Kong (HKU) and Singapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL), the conference on "Enhancing the Teaching and Learning of Chinese for Non-Chinese Speaking Students: Challenge and Breakthrough" was held on HKU campus from 29 Nov to 1 Dec in 2012.

SCCL Cultural Forum, "Enabling a Reader through Picture Books" cum Book Launch of the SCCL Flying Fish Graded Reader SeriesSingapore Centre for Chinese Language (SCCL) launched the SCCL Flying Fish Graded Readers Series on 24 November 2012. In conjunction, the Cultural Forum "Enabling a Reader through Picture Books" was also held.
